Bicycle Travel

The City of Auburn has a handful of existing bicycle lanes and multi-use trails, most notably the Interurban Trail and White River Trail. For information on existing bicycle travel, view travel facilities for bicyclists.

The City is committed to expanding the bicycle network to provide more fluid east-west and north-south travel routes that are safe for bicyclists. The Auburn City Council recently adopted the Future Trail and Bicycle Network map as part of the 2006 Comprehensive Plan amendment cycle. The map shows existing and proposed (future) bicycle lanes, bicycle routes, and multi-use trails. We are committed to completing these future non-motorized system improvements as resources become available.
