2009 is The City of Auburn Arts Commission’s 25th Anniversary
The Arts Commission's purpose is to foster the growth of the arts in Auburn through the presentation of various arts programs, community initiatives and program partnerships. Through a shared vision, leadership and service, the Auburn Arts Commission’s goal is to integrate the arts into all aspects of community life.

Commission meetings are open to the public and are scheduled on the first Tuesday of the month at 4:30 PM at Auburn City Hall, unless otherwise noted.
Arts Commission members are appointed by the Mayor of Auburn and approved by City Council. Membership term is 3 years and is open to residents of Auburn interested in the promotion and advocacy of the arts in Auburn. For application information, please contact the Mayor’s office at 253-931-3041. |
Commission Action Committees
Membership on the Arts Commission Action Committees is open to the general public interested in the promotion and advocacy of the arts in Auburn. Each Action Committee focuses on a specific art discipline (visual, performance, art education, etc.) and meet on a regular basis. Members provide input on program and policy development, event/program support, planning, coordination and staffing.
