Auburn 123rd Birthday graphicAuburn became an incorporated city in June of 1891. At that time the city was called Slaughter, named after Lieutenant William Slaughter. Since then, Auburn has grown and evolved over the last 123 years and is preparing to celebrate its beginning and present on June 6.
