Auburn Parks, Arts & Recreation is gearing up for their annual KidsDay event, to be held at Les Gove Park, 1005 12th Street SE on Friday, June 19. The event, held from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m., features a variety of inflatable rides, children’s activities, live stage entertainment, mini golf, kids’ arts & craft booths, food concessions, over 80 information/activity vendors, a food court and much more.

Back again are the popular bungee trampolines, free face painting and a heavy equipment/vehicle display! It’s a fantastic day of free, fun-filled activities sure to keep any child entertained. KidsDay’s primary audience is children ages 3-10 years of age; however there are lots of activity and entertainment options to keep both our younger and older counterparts amused.

This year’s event has an exciting line-up of stage entertainment, kicked off with The Not-Its! and followed by Recess Monkey, Ian Dobson and more! Ian Dobson’s performance is presented by the King County Library System at 1:15pm.

Auburn’s KidsDay began in 1985 and has increased in popularity ever since. New entertainment and activities are added every year. The event will be held at Les Gove Park, which features the popular Discovery Playground, a spraypark, bocce courts and many more attractions. Parking is available in and around the park, with overflow parking at Grace Community Church and street parking surrounding the park.

Back by popular demand is the ArtRageous Zone, which invites attendees to work alongside professional artists to create their own masterpieces to take home. Featured artists are Brian Lane, offering a Screen Printing activity, Mary Ellen Bowers offering the Pointillism technique and Yon LeMieux guiding children in the creation of old fashioned peg dolls.

Auburn’s KidsDay 2015 is coordinated by the City of Auburn Parks, Arts & Recreation, with support from Fred Meyer Stores, Valley Medical Center and Seattle Children’s Federal Way Clinic. A high five to BECU and the Guaranteed Education Tuition Program (GET Program) for their support of Auburn’s KidsDay 2015.
