Auburn Seeking Volunteers for Meals on Wheels Program

senior center frontThe Auburn Senior Activity Center is seeking volunteers for the Meals on Wheels program. Meals on Wheels is supported by a dedicated army volunteers that deliver a nutritious meal, a warm smile and a safety check that helps keep our seniors healthy, safe and living independently in their own homes each year. The positions available are:

Site Coordinator: Oversees the full operation of the Meals on Wheels program at the satellite site. The Coordinator supervises all other Meals on Wheels volunteers at the site, phones clients weekly for meal orders, ensuring accuracy, and reports to the Meals on Wheels Program Manager at Senior Services in Seattle. Coordinator needs to be available every other Monday from 12-5 p.m. 

Driver: Delivers meals to clients within the service area of the satellite site. Notes changes in health or behavior that may indicate a client’s need for other support services. This position's needs are every other Friday from 9 a.m. - 12 p.m.

Packer: Packs meals for delivery, ensuring accuracy. This position is every other Thursday from 9 -10:30 a.m.

Office Support: Assists the site coordinator or other volunteers as needed to ensure accurate order, delivery, and payment data used for monthly reports. This position is every other Friday from 8 a.m. -12 p.m.
