Façade Improvement Ignites New Energy in Downtown Auburn

Remax Facade Update

One of the older buildings in Downtown Auburn has had a face lift and new energy to its store front!  RE/MAX Realty South located at 104 E. Main St., invested $6,000 in their façade improvement.  The Auburn Downtown Association Design Committee approved a $1,500 grant for this project which helped this small business achieve its goal of preserving the building and making it more appealing.

Any business in the Auburn Downtown Association may apply for a façade improvement grant. The grant money comes from fund raising through the Main Street Tax Credit B&O Program.

"We’re excited about the new façade on Main Street," says one of the business owners, Bill VanEngelenburg, "we’ve been working on this revitalization project for over a year.  The biggest part of the work has been completed and we just have a few finishing touches to add.  We appreciate the support from the Auburn Downtown Association staff and volunteers which made this project achievable.”

The Auburn Downtown Association has been active in bringing events to Downtown Auburn and revitalization of downtown for over 25 years.  Please visit www.auburndt.org for more information on the façade improvement program.
