Jan 7 - Feb 29 Artist reception: Friday, January 11, 3:30-4:30 p.m. Viewers young and old will enjoy Patrice Tullai’s oil painting series “Flying Friends”, as they experience the brilliant colors and fun characters.
Mar 3 - May 2 Artist reception: Friday, March 7, 3:30-4:30 p.m. Becky Friddell explores color combinations and experiments with textural techniques that make her pastel works come alive.
May 5 - Jun 27 Artist reception: Friday, May 9, 3:30-4:30 p.m. The works of senior artists are featured in May and June to celebrate South County’s talented artists and Older Americans Month (May). Historically, Older Americans Month has been a time to acknowledge the contributions of past and current older persons to our country.
Jun 30 - Aug 29 Artist reception: Friday, July 11, 3:30-4:30 p.m. Dennis Harrison works in a medium called Marquetry. Designs are created using rare woods, shells or mosaic in an inlaid pattern that is enhanced through color, grain and texture.
Sep 2 - Oct 31 Artist reception: Friday, September 5, 3:30-4:30 p.m. Lois James uses paper pulp as her medium by painting with very thin liquid paper pulp onto a wet handmade paper base sheet. Her imagery comes from water, sea creatures and rock formations.
Nov 3 - Jan 2 Artist reception: Friday, November 7, 3:30-4:30 p.m. Senior Activity Center Featured Artists The 2007 Cheryl Sallee Gallery season is brought to a close with the outstanding works of local senior artists.
