The works of senior artists are featured in May and June to celebrate South County’s talented artists and Older Americans Month (May). Historically, Older Americans Month has been a time to acknowledge the contributions of past and current older persons to our country.

Dennis Harrison works in a medium called Marquetry. Designs are created using rare woods, shells or mosaic in an inlaid pattern that is enhanced through color, grain and texture.

Lois James uses paper pulp as her medium by painting with very thin liquid paper pulp onto a wet handmade paper base sheet. Her imagery comes from water, sea creatures and rock formations.
