Consultant RosterThe Consultant Roster may be used by the City, in lieu of advertising, to solicit proposals for specific professional services. Effective December 17, 2007, the City of Auburn will be utilizing the Municipal Research and Services Center (MRSC) Consultant Roster. As lead agency, Municipal Research and Services Center provides a consulting services roster statewide. MRSC provides these rosters in a way that is efficient and cost-effective for agencies and consultants, using electronic formats and procedures. There are currently 281 cities, 39 counties, and over 1,400 distinct special-purpose districts (SPDs), 296 school districts, and 41 community and technical colleges in the state that your consulting firm can potentially reach with one signup. The MRSC Roster is updated on an annual basis. MRSC currently advertises in the following publications: the Tacoma News Tribune, the Seattle Times, the Seattle Post-Intelligencer, the Daily Journal of Commerce, and the Everett Herald. The MRSC Consultant Roster provides a secure, password-protected online registration that will enable consultants to register quickly and inexpensively and to revise and update their information quickly. For one annual fee, a consultant can register to be on the consulting services roster. MRSC Roster will distinguish between professional architectural and engineering services as defined in RCW 39.80.020 and other consulting services. The roster may be viewed on the MRSC Small Works website For further information on the City of Auburn process, contact Ingrid Gaub, Assistant City Engineer at 253-804-3113. |
