Business LicensesYou may apply for a city business license at the City Permit Center at City Hall, 25 West Main Street during regular business hours (Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., except holidays).
You may also obtain a business license application by any of the following methods:
Contact the City Permit Center at 253-931-3090 to have an application mailed or faxed to you or if you have any questions or need additional information.
Applications are subject to review by Planning, Building, Public Works, Code Enforcement, Police, and Fire officials. The application process takes approximately two to four weeks after receipt of a complete application, unless there are issues requiring the need for other land use permits.
Businesses which process or serve food are required to have an approved Fats, Oils, and Grease Control Plan on file. Information regarding the requirement can be found on the FOG Reduction Program Webpage.
