Passport Services

The City Clerks Office will be closed Thursday, December 20, 2007 from 11:00 to 2:00 p.m.

The City of Auburn City Clerk's Office became a Passport Acceptance Facility in March 2005.

Requirements

Two (2) checks (or money orders) will be required; one made out to the US Department of State and one to the City of Auburn. (Sorry, no debit/credit cards or cash.)

Two (2) identical color photographs (2"x2"). Background color must be white or off-white. The applicant's image must be centered in the photo with at least 1/4 inch space between the top of the applicant's head and the top edge of the photo.

Proof of citizenship, such as certified copy of birth certificate, previously issued passport (if you have a previous passport, you must bring this with you) or certificate of naturalization. No photo copies are allowed.

Photo identification such as driver's license (not temporary nor learner's permit), government employee identification card, official military identification card, previous U.S. passport, certificate of naturalization, certificate of citizenship, and aircraft pilot's license issued by the Departmentof Transportation, FAA. Multiple forms of ID may be required.

Fees

It takes approximately six weeks to receive a passport. Expedited service is available for an additional $60.00 fee per application and takes 7 to 10 business days.
