Virginia Haugen

Virginia Haugen was elected to serve on the Auburn City Council for a term beginning January 2008 through December 31, 2011. Haugen serves on the Public Works Committee and the LEOFF Board.

Haugen previously served on the Auburn City Council in the mid-90s. She was appointed to an unexpired term in 1993 and was subsequently elected to a short term ending in 1995. During that time she served on the Municipal Services Committee and LEOFF Board. She has been a consistently involved citizen with her city's government and has experience in manufacturing, record keeping and business management.

Haugen came to Auburn in 1964 and has three married daughters and two grandchildren all of whom were raised in Auburn. She was a partner in South East Heating in Auburn for 10 years and retired from the Boeing Company in 2002. She currently volunteers at the Grand Cinema in Tacoma.
