Channelization

Channelization refers to the pavement markings on City streets. These include things like painted lane stripes, lane reflectors buttons, painted crosswalks markings, and painted stop bar markings.

Every year, the City hires a channelization contractor to refresh the majority of painted lane markings in the City and selected lane reflectors, crosswalks markings, and stop bar markings that are in poor condition.

To report pavement markings in poor condition, please contact Pablo Para, Traffic Engineer, or at 253-876-1958.
