Alive at 25 Defensive Driving

The ALIVE AT 25 course is designed to address issues and behaviors consistent with driving practices of 15 to 24 year old drivers. The course will be held at the Auburn City Hall in the Council Chambers, 25 W. Main Street in Auburn. Pre-registration is required.

Register at the Auburn Probation Department located in the Auburn Justice Center, 340 East Main Street in Auburn, during regular business hours.

Courses are held the third Tuesday of odd-numbered months. The 2012 dates, times and fees are below:

*fee must be paid in cash or money order at registration before class, no exceptions

What you need to bring:

  • $75 cash or money order for class fee
  • Photo identification (driver's license, passport, etc.)
  • If you were ordered by a court to complete this course, you will need to know which court sent you and your citation or case number

To receive credit for this class you must:

  • Register in advance and arrive on time for the class (Doors will open by 12:30 p.m. for sign in. The course will begin promptly at 1 p.m. and no one will be admitted after the course has begun nor permitted to come and go once the class has started. The class will be completed by 5 p.m.)
  • Pay the $75 class fee in advance with cash or money order (no checks or credit accepted)
  • Attend and satisfactorily complete the class
  • Provide photo identification
  • Fill out the required paperwork
  • Conduct yourself in an appropriate manner

You will not be admitted to the class if:

  • You are under the influence of alcohol and/or other drugs
  • In possession of weapons of any kind
  • You do not pay the $75 fee in advance
  • Do not have valid photo identification

Directions:

From Seattle – Take I-5 to Hwy 18 and head east on 18 toward Auburn.
From Tacoma - Take 167 north to Hwy 18.

Take Hwy 18 to the “Auburn-Enumclaw” exit. Take a right off the exit. Proceed north to Main Street. Turn right on Main Street. Auburn Justice Center is located on your right.

You may purchase a 2012 K-9 Calendar at the front desk of the Auburn Police Department for $10 cash or check. All proceeds go to the Valley K-9 Association to pay for food and medical costs for retired Police K-9 dogs.
