Fiscal Reports

The City of Auburn fiscal year corresponds with the calendar year. City budgets for each year are carefully crafted in a process that starts in June of each year and ends after public hearings and City Council approval in early December.

The City produces four budgetary reports yearly. The preliminary budget is published in October. The final budget, as adopted by the City Council, is published in January. The Comprehensive Annual Financial Report, or CAFR, is published in August of each year and is a report of the previous year's performance against budget. The Budget in Brief is a new document and is an overall summary of the final budget.
