Auburn City Hall Gallery Presents the Artwork of Maylee Noah and Don DeLeva

WHAT: Art exhibition of Maylee Noah and Don DeLeva
WHEN: October 1 – November 3, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday
WHERE: Auburn City Hall, 25 W. Main St. Admission is free.

AUBURN, Wash. – October 7, 2010 – The artwork of Maylee Noah and Don DeLeva will be on view at the City Hall Gallery located at 25 West Main St.  through Nov. 3, 2010. Admission is free.

Maylee Noah photo documents celebration and everyday life in Oaxaca and Michoacán, Mexico in imagery that captures an interesting action or juxtaposition. Her style of black and white documentary photography, is a comfortable blend of people and their environments.

Don DeLeva’s paintings takes the Mexican celebration Dia de los Muertos as inspiration and reinterprets it into his own complex abstraction. DeLeva describes his paintings as based on intuition, dreams, shape and color.
