Auburn’s S’more Than You Imagined Event Scheduled For Oct. 9Contact: FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: September 17, 2010 Jazz Band, bonfire, s’mores and scary stories will be “S’more Than You Imagined!” AUBURN, Wash. – September 17, 2010 - Feast on s’mores, warm your belly with Starbucks coffee and hot cocoa, swing to the sounds of a jazz band, gather ‘round a bonfire and get spooked by scary stories at the Auburn Parks, Arts & Recreation’s 6th annual S’more Than You Imagined event, Saturday, Oct. 9 at 6 p.m. at Game Farm Wilderness Park, 2401 Stuck River Drive SE. Back by popular demand, the free, family-friendly evening of fall festivities is a nod to the City’s tagline: “More Than You Imagined.” Bring your sweet tooth, a flashlight and blanket. Parks staff will serve up everyone’s favorite chocolaty campfire confection. The Lakeland Hills Starbucks has teamed up with the Starbucks at Auburn Way and M Street and will be on site making sure everyone stays warm with coffee and hot chocolate. The event will also feature free face painting for kids and the Auburn Youth Council will be giving away glowstick bracelets to the first 100 kids! The event will also feature a glow-in-the-dark haunted duck scramble! One hundred ducks will be up for grabs; turn in your findings for awesome prizes. The duck scramble starts at 6:45 p.m. sharp. There will be two hunting areas for children 5 years and under and children 6 – 10 years. Adults and kids can groove to the sounds of jazz music from the Auburn Riverside High School Jazz Band from 6 – 7 p.m. The band will be joined by swing dancers from Arthur Murray Dance Schools.
