Widely known as “The Wall That Heals,” the 50% scale replica displays the names of 58,249 men and women killed or missing in action from the Vietnam War conflict, including 1,116 from Washington State, 13 of those from Auburn.

The Wall That Heals exhibit will feature the dramatic replica – stretching nearly 250 feet in total length – as well as an Information Center and traveling museum displaying memorabilia left at The Wall in Washington, D.C. The exhibit is open to the public 24 hours a day from Thursday, Nov. 4 thru Sunday, Nov. 7, and is available for all ages.

The public is invited to the Remembrance Ceremony and Lighting of the Flame, held on Saturday, Nov. 6 at 9:45 a.m. at Veterans Memorial Park. The half-hour ceremony, presented by the American Legion – Auburn Post #78, with the help of the Inter-Tribal Warrior Society and the City of Auburn includes patriotic music, an honor guard, and a 21-gun salute. The Auburn Mountainview “Roar of the Lions” Marching Band will perform the Star Spangled Banner during the ceremony.
