Poison Prevention Week Poster Contest

SEATTLE - July 17, 2010 - The Washington Poison Center is happy to announce the return of the Mr. Yuk Poster Contest! This year, a big thank you goes out to sponsorship from Umpqua Bank and Seattle Children’s. The winner’s poster will be used as our State’s official 2011 Poison Prevention Week Poster. Any 6-12 year old in Washington State is eligible to enter. Entries must be postmarked with entry form between Aug. 1, 2010 - Jan. 1, 2011.

Contest Details:

  • Contest is open to all 6-12 year olds in Washington State
  • Posters must be postmarked with entry form between
    August 1, 2010 and January 1, 2011
  • Theme – Mr. Yuk Rules
  • Posters should be no larger than 8.5" x 11" on white paper
  • All entries will receive a gift from Mr. Yuk
  • Winner gets a visit by Mr. Yuk and a $500 Check Card
  • Finalists (4) get a $100 Check Card
  • Winning poster will be used to promote the March 2011 Poison Prevention Week on mini posters throughout Washington State. If funding permits, the poster will also be featured on billboards throughout the state.
