Auburn Enhances Website with Online Customer Service PortalFOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: January 7, 2011 AUBURN, Wash. – January 7, 2011 – Citizens and clients of the City of Auburn have a new easy and convenient online tool to get information, access services and learn more about what is going on in the City of Auburn. Launched this week, Check Auburn offers 24/7 access to online maps, forms, document library, staff contact information and many other useful tools. Simply visit http://check.auburnwa.gov to get started. “We know people are busy and making time to come to city hall to pay a bill or renew a license can be challenging,” said Auburn Mayor Pete Lewis. “Check Auburn is one more tool in our City’s customer service toolkit to make access to City services more convenient." Check Auburn is the next step in the City of Auburn’s efforts to offer online convenience and service in response to customer demands and expectations. Over the last several years, Auburn has added the convenience of online services such as, crime or other incident reporting; payment of utility bills or Photo SAFE citations; registration for recreation programs or entertainment ticket purchases; business license renewal; make a tee time at the Auburn Golf Course; employment applications; as well as increased opt-in communication tools such as email updates and social networking (Facebook, Twitter, blogs, You Tube and RSS news feeds). Also provided on the portal are links to online maps, forms, document library, staff contact information and many other useful tools to assist residents. In the future, the City expects to develop even more online tools and resources that will get it closer to a virtual City Hall.
