Auburn’s ArtRageous Art Festival and theatrical park adventure to be held Saturday, August 6Contact: AUBURN, Wash. – July 19, 2011 - Auburn’s ArtRageous Art Festival will be held on Saturday, Aug. 6 from 11 a.m. - 4 p.m. at Auburn’s Les Gove Park located at 11th & Auburn Way S. The festival is a free one-day art extravaganza for all ages to create and celebrate art in the park. ArtRageous is made possible with the generous support from 4Culture and 4Culture Site Specific. ArtRageous includes hands-on, artmaking activities for all ages, local art organizations, professional artist demonstrations, art vendors, food booths, music, and a special Wonderland: Alice Adventure presented by Theater Simple that you will not want to miss. Theater Simple’s newest interactive, theatrical park adventure will begin at 11:20 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. as part of the activites throughout the afternoon. The program will invite the audience to enter WONDERLAND (with passport!) and have adventures on their own and with the crowd. The theatrical park adventure, WONDERLAND is part performance piece and art installation, part riddle hunt, and all-fun, complete with tea party and cookies. (You provide your own picnic beforehand, perhaps...) WONDERLAND has been created by weaving together large-scale games, small scale events, and art opportunities with spectacularly costumed characters and puppets alongside songs, dances and silliness.
