Auburn to Offer Class on Disaster Preparedness on a Limited Budget in April

AUBURN, Wash. - March 18, 2011 - Join disaster preparedness experts from the City of Auburn and discover how you can prepare for a disaster on a limited budget. Learn what you need to do to prepare: how to make a plan, how to build a kit, and how to get involved in your own preparedness, all at little or no cost. 

The class will be presented twice at Auburn City Hall, 25 W Main St. Join us for either session and help make our community safe!

  • Saturday, April 9: 10 AM to 12 PM
  • Tuesday, April 12: 7 PM to 9 PM

All attendees will receive an item to help jump-start their disaster kits and one complete kit will be given away at each present. The class is free and interpreters will be available in Spanish and Russian. The presentation will also include information on local hazards.

Pre-registration is not required, but questions can be directed to emergencyprep@auburnwa.gov or 253-876-1925.
