Bird Viewing Tower at Auburn Environmental Park to Close TemporarilyContact: Jamie Kelly, Environmental Planner FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE; July 22, 2011 AUBURN, Wash. – July 22, 2011—The City of Auburn’s bird and wildlife observation tower located in the Auburn Environmental Park at 413 Western Ave. NW will be temporarily closed from July 25 to Sept. 30. The closure is necessary to allow construction of the wetlands trail boardwalk project, which will begin on Aug. 1. When complete, the wetlands boardwalk will provide a nearly 1,200-foot pedestrian trail via an elevated wooden boardwalk through the 115-acre Park’s wetlands that will connect the bird and wildlife observation tower constructed by the City in 2009 with a new park entrance to be constructed on the north side of West Main St. just west of the intersection at Lund Rd. SW. For further information about the observation tower temporary closure or the wetlands boardwalk project, contact Environmental Planner Jamie Kelly at 253-804-5092. ### City of Auburn Planning and Development Department |
