AUBURN, Wash. - April 20, 2011 - CMT Award Winner Chance McKinney and band Cross Wire are bringing country to the Auburn Ave Theater on Saturday, May 14 at 7:30 p.m. Discover Industrial Country for yourself.

Chance McKinney n’ Cross Wire don’t just play Country music, they play “Industrial Country.” It’s a blend of Country with 90’s Rock, 60’s Motown, and Heavy Metal influences. Their 2010 tour dates alone include such notable Country headliners as Dwight Yoakam, Jamie O’Neal, Grand Funk Railroad, Creedence Clearwater, Pat Green, Blake Shelton, Luke Bryan, .38 Special and Lynyrd Skynyrd.

Based in the Pacific Northwest, CMCW is comprised of Chance McKinney, long-time friend and drummer Brian Bujacich, and guitar “Super Duo” Paul Schille an Ray Neyens. All together, the band stands at 25 feet tall and is quite possibly the tallest band in the world.

Chance himself is the winner of CMT’s Music City Madness and now labeled as the #1 “unsigned” singer/songwriter in the nation. In April of 2010, he filmed a CMT Studio 330 Session with Steel Magnolia and the great Reba McEntire. Chance’s deep, syrup-dripping voice brings a unique element to the Country genre. A background in Motown means he moves like a Temptation while a Montana upbringing roots him squarely in country.

For over 30 years, the Auburn Avenue Theater has presented a diverse awry of live performances, including Broadway musicals, mystery theater, children’s theater, and concerts. In 2007 the City of Auburn began the Live at the AVE Performance Series, expanding this time-honored tradition right in the heart of downtown Auburn. We invite you to share all these magnificent moments on stage where extraordinary things come to life, making Auburn’s Live at the AVE Series More Than You Imagined!
