AUBURN, Wash. – January 26, 2011 - Join Jack on his journey up the beanstalk in this madcap rendition of the classic fairytale of bravery, adventure, and a truly amazing vegetable patch that will spring up at 2 p.m. on Saturday, February 19 at the Auburn Avenue Theater for Studio East’s Jack and the Beanstalk.

Follow this fanciful journey where a handful of beans really can produce magic, a goose really can lay a golden egg, and a beanstalk does indeed reach into the heavens where an immortal giant lives, breaths, and swears vengeance for all eternity. Prepare yourself for the larger-than-life truth behind a modern-day fable that reaches new heights in fantastic entertainment.

Jack and the Beanstalk was created by Lani Brockman and Susan Bradsley as part of Studio East’s StoryBook Theater, whose repertory consists of 55-minute storybook musicals aimed specifically at the 3 to 10-year-old, while not forgetting the parents, grandparents and teachers who bring them to the theater.

StoryBook Theater was founded in 1996 with very specific goals in mind – first and foremost, to introduce very young audiences to the magic and wonder of live musical theater. They combine beautiful, bright costumes with gorgeous “storybook” sets, then add them to songs, dances and clever, updated fairy tales, to produce musicals for young audiences and their families.

Auburn AVE Kids showcases local, regional and national acts and touring presentations with an emphasis on audiences ages four through 12 and their parents. We invite you to share these magnificent moments on stage where extraordinary things come to life, making Auburn AVE Kids More Than You Imagined!
