Last Comic Standing Semi-Finalist, Kristin Key, to headline the March 19 Comedy at the Ave in AuburnContact: Jim Kleinbeck, Theater Operations Coordinator Kristin Key WHAT: Auburn Avenue Theater presents Comedy at the AVE
The daughter of a Christian minister, Kristen began her comedy carrier at the age of 19 in Amarillo, Tex. as the house MC at the Amarillo Comedy Club. In 2006, when the Club closed its doors, Kristen moved to Austin to pursue the big city comedy scene. Three months after the move, she auditioned for The Last Comic Standing and became the youngest person to make it into the semi-finals. Kristen has since moved to Long Beach, Calif., but is still well known for her rapid fire style that made her so popular in the Texas panhandle. She now plays Los Angeles comedy clubs and tours to colleges and comedy clubs across the country. Kristen now has two full-length comedy CDs, “The Preachers Kid Gone’ Wild” and “Buckle Up” with Uproar Records and is still going strong. She plans to record a new CD in June of this year. Comedy at the Ave is a monthly comedy series that takes place at the Auburn Avenue Theater. Three comedians, one night, where you’re guaranteed to hear something you like. The City of Auburn BRAVO Performing Arts Series includes music, dance, and theater performances for all ages throughout the year. We invite you to share all these magnificent moments on stage where extraordinary things come to life, making Auburns BRAVO Season More Than You Imagined!
