AUBURN, Wash. – May 23, 2011 - NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN the Auburn City Council will hold a public hearing at 7:30 pm on June 6, 2011, in Council Chambers at City Hall, located at 25 West Main St., for a proposed amendment reallocating the City’s prior Annual Action Plan projects for Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) including 108 Loan Debt Service.
The process of a substantial amendment is required by the U.S. Dept. of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and the City’s Consolidated Plan to reallocate funds from abandoned or postponed projects.
The City of Auburn anticipates approx. $250,000 of unused CDBG funds will be available for projects that are consistent with federal regulations and objectives and policies of the Auburn Consolidated Housing and Community Development Plan.Planned projects include improvements to Shaughnessy Park ($50K), downtown business façade improvement program ($25K) and acquisition of property to assist Auburn Youth Resources in developing a teen drop-in program ($175K).
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City of Auburn's substantial amendment to its 2010 & 2011 Annual Action Plan is avail. for a 15-day public review and comment period.
Oral comments may be offered at the public hearing on June 6, 2011. Requests for a copy of the amendment and written comments regarding the CDBG amendment may be submitted prior to the public hearing to:

Upon written request a copy of the Plan will be provided through the mail within five (5) working days. Written comments and comments from the public hearing will be addressed in the final draft of the CDBG amendment to the Annual Action Plan.City Council is tentatively scheduled to adopt the amendment at their regular meeting on June 6, 2011.
This notice is available in alternate formats for individuals with disabilities upon request. City Hall is wheelchair accessible; reasonable accommodations at the public hearing such as sign language interpretation or alternate formats for printed material are available for individuals with disabilities with a minimum of 7 days advance notice.
