Seattle Green Festival Celebrates 10 Years May 21 & 22 at Qwest Event Center

SEATTLE - April 28, 2011 - A project of Green America and Global Exchange, two leading nonprofit organizations dedicated to environmental and social justice for more than 27 years, Green Festival inspires and promotes the connection between change and sustainable progress for people, communities and businesses. Green Festival's interactive marketplace and learning environment provides solutions to help make healthier lives—socially, economically and environmentally.

This 10-year-old ‘Party with a Purpose’ is an exciting weekend experience for individuals, friends and families. Festivities include presentations by more than 125 renowned authors, leaders and visionaries, informative how-to workshops, cutting-edge films, enriching kid's activities, organic beer and wine, delicious organic vegan and vegetarian cuisine, diverse live music and an amazing marketplace of more than 350 green local and national businesses and organizations.

Seattle Green Festival features national and internationally renowned authors, leaders, visionaries and activists. Keynote speakers include Amy Goodman, John Perkins, Jeffrey Smith, David Korten, Zoe Weil and Edward Humes.

You will find something for everyone at Green Festival. Several brand new admissions options make Green Festival accessible and affordable for everyone! Purchase your tickets online in advance for discounted admission! You can also purchase tickets at the door the day of the event. When you purchase a ticket online or at the door, you will receive “GF Bucks” back to spend at the festival in the Green Marketplace. Resource Recovery Partner and Corporate Innovator Ford will offer free admission available when you visit regional metro Ford dealerships. Also, local nonprofits will reward you when you “Pay it Forward” by volunteering or donating as you “Get it Back” by receiving tickets to Green Festival.
