b1112_tedvigilAUBURN, Wash. - October 27, 2011 - John Denver is alive and well with Ted Vigil! See the incredible performance live at the Auburn Ave Saturday, Nov. 19 at 7:30 p.m. You’ll be saying “I can’t believe how much he looks just like John Denver!”

Adopted out of John Denver’s favored Colorado, Ted grew up in Seattle and started performing at the age of 10. In 2006 he competed in Laughlin, Nevada's Talent Quest and took first place. Back in Seattle, he went on to win KOMO 4’s Northwest Afternoon Celebrity Look Alike Contest. Ted has developed into a national act, performing all over the country at casinos, night clubs, private parties, fairs, and festivals. Last year he was seen at the John Denver Festival, The CMA Fan Fair Festival and on the Travelin’ Inc Country Cruise.

John Denver, born as Henry John Deutschendorf, Jr., began his music career in the 1960s. Though he appeared in folk groups for several years, Denver’s success came as a solo singer. Throughout his life, he could record and release nearly 300 songs, 200 of which he composed himself. Along with his music career, Denver spent much of his time dedicated to several humanitarian causes, included nature conservation and ending world hunger. He died in 1997 in a plain crash off the coast of California.

The City of Auburn BRAVO Performing Arts Series includes music, dance, comedy, film and theater performances for all ages throughout the year. We invite you to share all these magnificent moments on stage where extraordinary things come to life, making Auburn's BRAVO Season More Than You Imagined!
