Auburn’s Remembrance Ceremony to Honor the Memory of Those Lost in War

08-Veterans Day 043AUBURN, Wash. – October 26, 2011 - Honoring the lasting memory of those who served in war and gave their lives for peace, the annual Veterans Day Remembrance Ceremony and Lighting of the Flame will be held at Auburn’s Veterans Memorial Park, specifically at the Veterans Memorial, located at 411 E Street NE, on Saturday Nov. 5 from 9:45 a.m. – 10:15 a.m. The ceremony takes place prior to Auburn’s 46th annual Veterans Day parade beginning at 11 a.m.

The half-hour ceremony, presented by the American Legion – Auburn Post #78, with the help of the Inter-Tribal Warrior Society, the Muckleshoot Tribe and the City of Auburn includes patriotic music, an honor guard, and a 21-gun salute.
