AUBURN, Wash. - January 14, 2012 - “Gollyology” is the study of tricks that make you say “Golly!” Say “Golly!” yourself when Rhys Thomas and his Science Circus sequel hit the Auburn Avenue Theater Saturday, Jan. 28 for a 2:00 p.m. show. If you saw his show last year, you’ll definitely want to see Gollyology!

Presenters wanted a sequel to Science Circus and this show is it. Rotation around center of mass is demonstrate with juggling clubs and Chinese flower sticks, balancing tips are generated using the scientific method, Chemistry and Archaeology are tapped to discover the best juggling ball in 4,000 years of circus history, gyroscopic stability is refined until 5 balls are spinning on five giggling kids and it all concludes with juggling on a slackrope. This show is a jam packed hour of science shenanigans!

Originally a middle school Journalism teacher, Rhys was more interested in attempting to make a living as a juggler. In 1987 he and his wife moved to Seattle where he spent a very rewarding summer street performing. But as all Seattleites know, the rain will always come back. Rhys would go on to create an indoor show and have his debut performances at the Pacific Science Center, home of silly science. Now he performs around the world for kids and parents alike.
