AUBURN, Wash. - January 13, 3012 - Before taking in the Oscars in February, countdown with five of the Best Picture winners! The film series starts with Lawrence of Arabia Jan. 26, followed by The Godfather Feb. 2, Gandhi Feb. 9, Unforgiven Feb. 16 and wrapping up with Chicago Feb. 23, all movie times are 7:30 p.m. Auburn Kiwanis will present A Red Carpet Event on Sunday, Feb. 26.

Lawrence of Arabia follows World War I British adventurer T.E. Lawrence as he helps the Bedouins battle the Turks.

The Godfather is a shadow epic following the fortunes of the fictitious Corleones, a powerful Mafia family with its own separate code of honor, justice, law and loyalty.

Gandhi depicts how one remarkable man defeated the mightiest empire on Earth with one unbelievable plan: passive resistance.

Unforgiven is an unsparingly realistic view of the American West with former gunfighter and thief (Clint Eastwood) struggling to come to terms with his past.

And finally Chicago brings to the screen the Broadway smash hit of two women with look that could kill-so they did, and now they are desperate to be center stage to win their freedom.

The City of Auburn BRAVO Performing Arts Series includes music, dance, comedy, film and theater performances for all ages throughout the year.
