Young Peter Pan enters the nursery of the Darling children in search of his missing shadow. With the help of fairy dust and some happy thoughts, he leads the three youngsters off to Never Never Land where they meet Peter’s Lost Boys, Indians, and the vengeful pirates led by nefarious Captain Hook.

Leslie is a graduate of Wellesley College and the American Suzuki Institute. She now directs a thriving Suzuki harp programs in the greater Seattle area as well as touring with silent film performances and playing for local weddings. She directs the annual Vashon Island Harp camp and has adjudicated at the Washington State Solo and Ensemble Contest as well as the Pacific Northwest Scottish Games harp competition.

Peter Pan (1924) is the first film based from the 1904 stage production and subsequent book. The film stars Betty Bronson as Peter, continuing the tradition of having an adult woman play the young boy. At the time of its original release, it was celebrated for its innovative use of special effects with the depiction of Tinker Bell. In 2000, the United States Library of Congress deemed it “culturally significant” and selected it for preservation in the National Film Registry. Prior to that the film had fallen from care and for decades only defective copies were available. A restored version was released on April 8, 2001 at the El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood celebrating Walt Disney’s birthday.
