Largo WalesLargo Wales was elected to the Auburn City Council in 2012. Her current council committee assignments are Municipal Services, Finance, and Les Gove Community Campus.
Wales comes to the council with a wide range of community leadership experiences. She has served as Auburn Youth Recourses Board President, Kiwanis President, Auburn Food Bank President and an active campaigner for Auburn School District levies and bonds.
Wales has resided in Auburn since 1982. She is married to Mike Dukes and they have a daughter in college who graduated from the Auburn School District.
Wales holds numerous degrees: Bachelor of Arts, Washington State University; Master of Arts, University of Puget Sound; Doctoral Degree, Seattle University; and Post-doctoral, Columbia University. Emphases of the degree programs were education, leadership, business and law. Currently she is retired from the Auburn School District where she worked in special services and federal programs.
