Mayor's Feedback Requests

What do you see as the function or role of transit in your community?

I would like to see smaller buses going from neighbor hoods to transit center and using the  larger busses going from transit center to transit center with smaller busses moving people to their destination

Now that we have lost our parking across from the Bistro I may have to go to the Kent Station and catch the Sounder there. For those who need to go to Seattle after the commuters have left there is no place to park to catch the Sounder bus.

First, provide at least a minimal service level for those in the community who have no other means to travel when needed for their basic needs. Many need to get to shopping, health care, or entertainment and can't drive, bike, or walk.

Second, provide an affordable alternative for commuters, to remove vehicles from traffic, to defray expensive parking costs in urban environments, and to help reduce emissions.

Third, provide an affordable alternative for non-commuters who need to get from the suburban communities to the multiple urban centers in the area, particularly for major events like sports events or festivals like Bumbershoot or the Puyallup Fair.
