AUBURN, Wash. - October 10, 2008 - Sewer main installation will begin Oct. 13 at SE 304th St. between 112th Ave. SE and 116th Ave. SE between 9 a.m. until 7 p.m.. The construction is scheduled for two to three weeks weather depending.

Auburn City Hall Gallery Presents Artwork by Ellen Miffitt and Fran Holt
AUBURN, Wash. – October 8, 2008 – Olympia artist Ellen Miffitt and Bellevue artist Fran Holt express energy in their pieces by exploring different materials and compositions. Miffitt’s collage and mixed-media works encompass harmony, balance and mindfulness gleaned from her training in Sumi-e meditation. Holt’s large oil paintings on mahogany panel are inspired by nature and have a physical presence because of their size and textile qualities.

Suburban Cities Association Says “No” to I-985
TUKWILA, Wash. – October 6, 2008 - At the request of 28 suburban cities and in a strong show of solidarity, the Board of Directors of the Suburban Cities Association has voted unanimously to oppose I-985, the latest initiative sponsored by Tim Eyman. Although Eyman claims the initiative will ease traffic congestion, the SCA knows it will actually cripple the economy of cities across King County.

AUBURN, Wash. - October 1, 2008 - Construction will begin in October on the SE 316th Place Traffic Calming Improvements project. The project will construct traffic circles at the intersections at SE 316th Place/115th Ave SE and SE 316th Place/114th Ave SE. AUBURN, Wash. – September 18, 2008 – The White River Valley Museum and the City of Auburn Arts Commission are partnering to present a small works juried art show and sale and are seeking artist participation. The two categories of artwork submission are small and mini, each size with a pricing maximum. Artists of diverse mediums are encouraged to enter, but is limited to two-dimensional artwork. Artist registration is Nov. 8 from 10 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.

AUBURN, Wash. – Sept. 18, 2008 - The White River Valley Museum 10th Annual Harvest Costume Ball returns to Auburn Saturday, Oct. 25, 6 p.m. – midnight at the Muckleshoot Casino. Tickets are $50 per person and include dinner, dancing and parking. Proceeds go toward expanding the award-winning education programs at the White River Valley Museum and Mary Olson Farm.

Road Work Notice: Sewer line installation on 118th Ave SE, 124th Ave SE, and SE 304th St.
AUBURN, Wash. – February 26, 2008 - The sewer line installation and pavement restoration on SE 304th St and 124th Ave SE has been completed. The portion of roadway surfaces on SE 304th St and 124th Ave SE near and in the intersection will be replaced as part of the King County Round-A-Bout project, which is anticipated to be under construction in the summer of 2008.
