Mountain View Cemetery is nestled on 55 acres of property overlooking the Mt. Rainier and the Green River Valley. Mountain View offers an urn garden, adult graves, columbarium niche walls, and a special section for veterans and their spouses. The cemetery is a self-supporting municipal cemetery.

Park History

The Cemetery was established in 1890 when 40 acres of land were purchased. In 1945, a group of local businessmen formed the Thousand and One Club to transfer the cemetery to the City of Auburn. In 1947, the cemetery was endowed, ensuring that maintenance of the grounds would be continued into the future.
