Neighboorhood plans

The City of Auburn is dedicated to serving residents and providing them with programs, services, and resources to enhance and maintain their neighborhoods. Auburn's Neighborhood Program works in partnership with other public agencies, civic groups, neighborhood associations and Citizens to develop and preserve strong, sustainable neighborhoods. Its overall mission is to create and maintain safe and friendly neighborhoods that keep Auburn a great place to live and raise children. Auburn's Neighborhood Program develops programs and activities that keep residents vigilant against crime. It offers opportunities for residents to participate in community service. It conducts neighborhood planning to help neighborhoods develop the capacity to lead their community into the future.

Auburn's Neighborhood Program

Auburn is a network of a dozen or more neighborhoods. Each neighborhood is unique. They typically have distinct geographic features, some sort of a business district, schools, parks, and other amenities that residents hope to preserve.

Neighborhood Matching Grant Program

Believing that people build stronger communities when they work together, the City of Auburn is requesting proposals for Neighborhood Matching Grants.

Terminal Park Neighborhood

Terminal Park is one of Auburn's oldest neighborhoods, created in 1913 just 23 years after Auburn was incorporated. At one time, Auburn's "Main Street" ran through it. Even today Terminal Park is a major gateway to downtown Auburn.

SE of East Main Neighborhood

The neighborhood southeast of East Main Street has over thirty homes that have been identified by the Washington State Department of Archeology and Historic Preservation as potentially historic.
