Applying for Business License

You may apply for a city business license at the City Permit Center at City Hall, 25 West Main Street during regular business hours (Monday through Friday 8 a.m. - 5 p.m., except holidays). You may also obtain a business license application by either of the following methods:

Download a City of Auburn Business License Application or Rental Housing Business License Application (as appropriate) from the City’s web page. You will find the application under the “Forms” library.

Contact the City Permit Center at 253-931-3090 to have an application mailed or faxed to you.

Applications are subject to review by Planning, Building, Code Enforcement, Police, and Fire officials. The application process takes approximately two to four weeks after receipt of a complete application, unless there are issues requiring the need for other land use permits.
