PRE-APPLICATION MEETINGS

The Permit Center offers pre-application meetings for potential applicants for any type of permit. The meeting provides you with an opportunity to discuss your proposal with City staff prior to making an actual application. The fee for a pre-application meeting will be applied to any future permit application made within 6 months of the date of the meeting. View Fee Schedule (PDF).

Pre-application meetings are a valuable resource in the processing of your application, particularly if:

  • You are unfamiliar with City standards or the permits you will need;
  • Your proposal is complex or involves multiple approvals;
  • You anticipate requesting a deviation and/or a variance from City standards or City Code requirements; or
  • Your proposal will require a public hearing.

The meeting will familiarize you with the various elements of the City's permitting process. At the meeting, you will receive maps and other information. You will also receive meeting minutes within 2 days.
