Community Services

Community Services (also known as Administrative Services) consists of one Commander, a Training Sergeant, the DARE officer and a Community Programs officer. Within Community Services are the Auburn Police Department's Volunteer Program, Domestic Violence Victim Response Team, and many other services and programs for citizens to become involved in.

DARE

The Drug Abuse Resistance Education (DARE) program is a joint effort between the Auburn Police Department and the Auburn School District. The DARE program is a uniquely supported through the efforts of a DARE certified law enforcement officer (Officer Leslie Jordan), educators, students, parents, and the community to offer an educational program in the classroom. The DARE program helps to prevent or reduce drug abuse and violence among children.

DARE touches the lives of approximately 3,000 5th grade students in 10 schools each year and is a great way for the Officers to meet and get to know the community youth at an academic level. For additional information call 253-804-5004.
