Small Works Roster

The Small Works Roster may be used, in lieu of advertising, to solicit bids for any public work or improvement estimated to cost less than $200,000.

Effective December 17, 2007, the City of Auburn will be utilizing the Municipal Research and Services Center (MRSC) Small Works Roster. After this date, the City of Auburn will no longer use the City of Lynnwood's Shared Small Works Roster.

As lead agency, the Municipal Research and Services Center manages the Shared Roster and receives, reviews, and approves your application form. Once approved, they will add you to the Shared Roster as an eligible contractor, exposing you not only to Auburn's small works projects, but also to the small works projects of the other member agencies.

Municipal Research and Services Center provides a Small Works Roster statewide. MRSC provides the Roster in a way that is efficient and cost effective for agencies and contractors, using electronic formats and procedures. There are currently 281 cities, 39 counties, and over 1,400 distinct special purpose districts (SPD's) 296 school districts and 41 community and technical colleges in the state.

The MRSC Roster is updated on an annual basis. MRSC currently advertises in the following publications; The News Tribune, The Seattle Times, Seattle Post-Intelligencer, Daily Journal of Commerce, and The Herald.

The MRSC Small Works Roster provides secure, password protected online registration that will enable contractors to register quickly and inexpensively and to revise and update their information quickly. For one annual fee, a contractor can register to be on the Small Works Roster.

The website for the MRSC Small Works Roster is at www.MrscRosters.org and the MRSC contact is John Carpita, PE at (206) 625-1300 or jcarpita@mrsc.org.
