The Auburn Late Night Program features opportunities in recreation, arts & crafts, leadership and skill building program, with plenty of food and FUN! The program is for middle school and high school aged youth living in or attending school within the Auburn School District boundaries. Students must show their Auburn student identification or independent school equivalent at the door to enter. Program hours are 6 - 11 p.m. Admission is free.
The program is located at either Auburn High School (800 Fourth St. NE), Auburn Riverside High School (501 Oravetz Rd) or the Auburn Valley YMCA (1620 Perimeter Rd SW). Please check the flyers at the bottom of the page for the location on a specific date.
Late night includes the following activities:
Basketball Each week we have open gym basketball. It is open for all levels of play at Late Night. Leave a piece of ID to check out basketballs.
Arts & Crafts Each Late Night there is an Arts and Crafts Room open for a variety of seasonal and holiday crafts.
Theme Rooms Each Late Night has theme rooms to provide a variety of activities that relate to the chosen theme or season. The themes might include Halloween, Valentine's Day or others for special activities, including cookie making, candy making and baking!
Games
Tournaments Play in a 3-on-3 basketball tournament.
Karaoke/Music Each week there is DJ staff for Karaoke and music fun. The lobby area has a variety of music for listening while you engage in recreational activities and much more.
Swimming Teens must bring a towel and swimsuit to Late Night, plus a quarter for the lockers. Swim groups are escorted to the pool at 6:45 p.m. and back at 8:15 p.m. Auburn Riverside swim groupsare escorted to the YMCA pool and Auburn High School swim groups are escorted to the Auburn School District pool.
Make Friends The Late Night provides a safe and comfortable atmosphere for teens who want to meet new people, make new friends or just hang out with old buddies.
Free Food Food is served including a variety of goodies: carrots, water, punch and hot dogs.
FUN
To be eligible to participate, you must:
Be enrolled in grades 6 - 12
Reside in the Auburn School District
Present school picture ID
Agree to respect yourself, staff, the program and other participants
Staff
