Youth sports programs are for children who attend a public or private school in the Auburn School District or Dieringer School District boundaries, including all Auburn street addresses. Participants must play in grade level in which they are currently in school (i.e. player are not allowed to move up or down a grade level).
If registered by the published early registration deadline (postmarks not accepted) players are assigned to teams by the following priorities:
Returning players are placed with the same head coach as the previous year, provided player attends same school as coach's child. Parents can request player not be retained by returning coach if noted on the registration form.
If not a returning player, they are assigned to a team based on the school they attend or would attend, e.g., home school, step program.
If there are enough registrations for more than one team from a school, teams are filled in the order registrations are received. The balance of the players, if not enough for a full team, are combined with another school.
If registered after the published early registration deadline, players are assigned to a team by staff. Assignments are based on the need for players on teams, not necessarily the school the student attends. Registrations received after the early registration deadline will be assessed an additional fee.
