The 33rd Annual National Night Out (NNO), a unique crime/drug prevention event sponsored by the National Association of Town Watch (NATW), has been scheduled for Tuesday, August 2, 2016. All neighborhoods are encouraged to be a part of AUBURN'S NIGHT OUT 2016 team by registering their neighborhood event.
On the first Tuesday of August, residents in neighborhoods throughout the city of Auburn and across the nation are asked to lock their doors, turn on their outside lights, and spend the evening outside with their neighbors.
Registration for neighborhood events opens on June 1, 2016 and ends July 18, 2016. If desired, it may be possible to have a City or Police representative make an appearance at your event to talk to attendees about fighting crime in your area.

If you have already registered, material pick-up has begun! Materials including postcards, flyers and the banner can be picked up anytime between now and 1:00 PM on event day.

ABOUT NATIONAL NIGHT OUT
National Night Out is designed to heighten crime and drug prevention awareness; generate support for, and participation in, local anti-crime programs; strengthen neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships; and send a message to criminals letting them know that neighborhoods are organized and fighting back. The benefits your community will derive from National Night Out will most certainly extend well beyond the one night.
