Ave Kids

Auburn AVE Kids showcases local, regional and national acts and touring presentations with an emphasis on audiences ages 4 through 12 and their parents, families, or friends. Most AVE Kids performances take place at Auburn Avenue Theater, located at 10 Auburn Ave, unless otherwise noted.

The AVE Kids performances are included as part of the City's overall BRAVO Performing Arts Season. Purchase several performances together and you are eligible for a discount! For details, view ticket and ordering information.

The Boy Who Cried Wolf

Storybook Theater brings this truth-telling tale to life on stage. Shepherd-boy Sam is tired of watching sheep all day, and wants some excitement in his life. One day, he decides to shake things up by yelling “Help – a wolf!” just for fun. The villagers come running, only to discover that Sam has pulled the wool over their eyes.

James and the Giant Peach

Brought to life on stage by the AveKids Theater camp participants, James & The Giant Peach will delight all ages. When James is sent by his conniving aunts to chop down their old fruit tree, he discovers a magic potion that grows a tremendous peach, which rolls into the ocean and launches a journey of enormous proportions. James befriends a collection of singing insects that ride the giant piece of fruit across the ocean, facing hunger, sharks and plenty of disagreements along the way.
