Espial:  Taking notice of something; a discovery.

Deadline to submit is 3:00 pm on March 17, 2015.

Espial is an award-winning literary and art journal completely produced and published by Green River Community College students. The intention of this year's project is to connect the undercurrents of Green River's creative culture with the surrounding community down stream. The journal will feature a special section of art and poetry from the Auburn community in addition to the work of students, faculty, staff and alumni. We are looking for artists and poet partnerships to create new work specifically for the journal that addresses a sense of place, or encourages dialogue between the college and the community at large. So, find a creative partner and get to work! Select collaborations will be professionally published in the journal, featured on exhibition and presented during the public book release/poetry reading and art event in late spring. There are no restrictions as to media, provided it can be adequately reproduced as text and a digital image in the book. Deadline to submit is 3:00 PM on March 17, 2015. Contact Espiallinks to external site for more information and a submission form.

Auburn's StreetScape Art is a program that seeks to enliven and activate otherwise empty storefront windows in Auburn's Historic Downtown by providing temporary space to artists, creative businesses, organizations and community groups. Applications for Static Installations and Active Enterprise are accepted on a rolling basis and placed as spaces become available.

Artist participation is sought on an ongoing basis. Download full application (PDF)
