Santa Parade

Saturday, December 5, 2015
Parade at 4:30 PM

A festive and fun children's parade, which is followed by community caroling and the lighting of the City Hall Christmas Tree.

  • Parade line-up begins at 4:00 PM on E Street NE.
  • Pre-parade entertainment from 4:00-4:30 PM in front of City Hall.
  • Again this year, Santa has asked Auburn for assistance in finding a child who could help him light the tree.  Please nominate a child between the ages of 5 and 9 to help Santa flip the magic switch that will light Auburn's Christmas Tree.

Other holiday activities include:

Snack and Craft at Washington Elementary, 20 E Street NE. Event will be held on Saturday, December 5, from 2:00 - 4:00 PM. This is a great opportunity for families to create fun holiday gingerbread houses and ornaments, a warm way to ring in the holidays and a yummy activity prior to the parade.
Pre-registration is $3/$4 (resident/non-resident) or $5 at the door.

A performance of 'The Elves & the Toymaker' will be hosted at the Auburn Avenue Theater at 6:30 PM on Saturday, Dec. 5.  A toymaker and his wife have been working day and night to get toys ready for boys and girls everywhere, but the elves discover that the toys have disappeared.  This holiday musical will delight audiences young and old, and remind everyone that the spirit of giving is the greatest gift of all! Tickets are $8.

Leashed, licensed and well-behaved pets welcome at the Santa Parade & Tree Lighting.
