Pre-School (Ages 1-5)

Options for the pre-school age are abundant in Auburn and include Indoor Playground at the Gymnasium at Les Gove Park, Arts & Crafts classes, dance, music, pre-school sport programs, parent-participation programs and much more. Programs and classes vary with each new registration session.

Classes and Programs

Family Yoga - The family that does yoga together stays healthy and active tParent Tot Yoga Resizeogether. 

Bring your whole family to the mat for imaginative play which includes jumping, breathing, laughing, and storytelling where kids get to act out their favorite animals with yoga poses.  The entire family will have fun and take time to relax! $8 Adults/$4 Children.  Fee applies to each session and participant.

Pre-school Sports

An introduction for you and your toddler to the world of sports. You and your child participate together in fun, age-appropriate activities that help your child develop their large motor skills and socialization skills. Current sport options include Football, Soccer, and Basketball.

Workshops

Little Steamers - STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art & Math) for pre-schoolers!  These workshops give Little Steamers and their caregiver a chance to build, explore and make with new themes each class.  Push up their sleeves and get ready to dive into fun! Ages 4-7. $10/$13 (fee applies to each workshop).  Wednesdays, 11:15 AM- 12:15 PM. 

  • Smooth Sailing - Ahoy there Captain!  Build your own boat fit to sail the seven seas.  Then, set Little Steamers Fallsail to race against your friends! Wednesday, September 19.
  • Humpty Dumpty Took A Big Fall - All the king's horses and all the king's men tried to keep Humpty Dumpty from breaking in the first place!  Try to keep your egg from splatting on the ground by designing a padded house for it.  We'll test your designs by dropping them from a ladder!  Wednesday, October 3.
  • Lights, Camera Action! - Watch out Hollywood!  Future movie makers headed your way!  Learn how to direct a stop motion film! At the end we'll watch each other's films together.  Wednesday, October 17.
  • Spooky Science - Boo!  Make some wicked witches brew, launch pumpkins in the air and create lots of other fun Halloween experiments.  Wear your costume and come ready to get spooky!  Wednesday, October 31.
  • Colors of the Wind - Explore the color wheel and find out what colors mix to make new colors!  We will have a blast with different art projects and get a little messy along the way.  Wednesday, November 14.
  • Static-Tacular -  Zap! How does electricity work?  Why do the lights turn on when we flip a switch?  Learn about electricity and circuits through awesome science experiments!  Wednesday, November 28.

ClassesWhat's on my plate

  • The ABC's of Fall - Have fun with the alphabet through lots of PLAY and Fall.  Each week will focus on a couple of letters through Fall crafts, games, stories and more!  Ages 3-5.  Tuesdays, September 11-October 16. 9:30-10:30 AM.  $45/$57.
  • What's On My Plate - Have fun learning to cook through measuring, pouring, molding, cutting and following directions.  Learn kitchen safety and manners.  Nutritious snacks each week.  Parent participation is required.  Ages 3-5.  Tuesdays, October 23-Nobember 13.  9:30-10:45 AM.  $36/$45.
  • Fall Holiday Magic - Catch the holiday magic this Fall during October, November and December as we make holiday crafts, play games and enjoy some holiday goodies during this magical time of year.  Ages 3-5.  Tuesdays, October 30-December 4.  11:00 AM- 12:00 PM.  $45/$57.

playgroundToddler Indoor Playground (ages 5 and under) - Bring your child for socialization and fun! We provide balls, games, mats, riding toys, climbing toys and more in the Les Gove Gymnasium (located at 910 9th Street SE).

  • Fall Hours- September 5-December 28, 2018:
    Monday, Wednesday, Friday 9:30-11:00 AM
  • No program November 12, 23, 24 & December 24 & 31

Cost is $2 per child per session. 10-punch pass also available. No more than three children per adult. No registration required. Parent or caregiver must provide supervision of children at all times. Closed: February 19

Drop-In Child Care - Drop-in child care is available for children ages 2 (who are potty trained) to 8 years old. Cost is $4/visit or $3/visit with a punch card if parent is enrolled in fitness classes.

Kidz Playtime - Cost is $10 for two hours of care if parent leaves the building.

  • Wednesdays - 9:00 AM-1:30 PM, 4:00-8:00 PM
  • Thursdays - 9:00 AM-1:30 PM, 5:15-8:00 PM
  • Fridays - 9:00 AM-1:30 PM

Birthday Party Packages - Party planning is a piece of cake when you let us do all the work. Utilizing the Les Gove Park Gymnasium as an activity center, we serve as your party host to ensure a fantastic birthday celebration.
