Arterial and Collector Street PreservationArterial/Collector preservation is an important responsibility of the City’s. As with the local street system, it is vital to regularly maintain the pavement of Auburn’s arterial and collector streets. Due to a lack of funding, the City is considerably behind in the maintenance of the arterial and collector street network. While the arterial street fund has enough funding to complete some rehabilitation projects annually, it is insufficient to keep the backlog of pavement projects from growing each year. Hence, the City is exploring new ways to raise revenues for arterial and collector streets. The Functional Roadway Classification Map identifies all arterial and collector streets in Auburn. The Arterial Preservation Projects Map identifies the preservation projects that have been done in the past few years. |
