It's Easy and it's the law!
A new law requires a recycling program at every official gathering and sports facility in communities where recycling services are available to businesses
The Event Recycling Law
Ordering Temporary Garbage & Recycling Service:
STEP #1 Select your collection & disposal method: (Options)
Use a local Solid Waste Provider - Go to Steps #2 and #3.
Self-Haul - Go to Step #4.
STEP #2 Locate your Solid Waste Provider: Provider Map
STEP #3 Follow the directions for your Solid Waste Provider below:
Allied Waste Services
- Provides containers.
- Drop-off and Pick-up service.
- Recyclable materials go into one recycling cart (no sorting).
- For service call Customer Service at 206-652-8832.
- Allied Waste Services will bill directly for garbage & recycling services.
- Container sizes available
- Recycling Materials Accepted - Paper, cardboard, aluminum, tin, plastic, glass, and scrap metal.

Murrey's Disposal
- Provides containers.
- Drop-off and Pick-up service.
- Recyclable materials go into one containers - Paper, cardboard, plastic, aluminum, scarp metal (no sorting) – NO glass
- For service call Customer Service at 253-414-0345.
- Murrey’s Disposal will bill directly for garbage & recycling services.
- Container sizes available -
64-gallon cart(s), 96-gallon cart(s)
Additional sizes available, call 253-414-0345.
- Recycling Materials Accepted - Paper, cardboard, aluminum, tin, and plastic. NO glass.

STEP #4 Self-Haul your garbage & recyclables: (Options)
Provide your own garbage and recycling containers. Take to a local garbage and/or recycling facility (below) or use your own containers.
Use event site garbage & recycling containers. (Written permission from Property Owner required.)
Use ClearStream Recycler containers. Visit http://www.clearstreamrecycler.com
Private Curbside Garbage & Recycle Containers
- If you have curbside garbage and recycling service you may use your curbside container(s).
- Contact your solid waste and recycling provider to determine how much extra material is acceptable in your curbside garbage & recycling container, and if there is an
additional charge.
Valley Recycling
- Drop-off service only.
- Recycling Materials Accepted - Paper, cardboard, aluminum, tin, plastic, glass, scrap metal.
- Materials need to be separated at facility.
- No cost for recycling above materials.

Algona Transfer Station
- Drop-off garbage service only.
- No recycling service available.
